What Are The Sacraments?
It’s Sunday afternoon as I sit here and write this for you. I often get stuck on the title for these offerings, which can lead to a bit of writers block! Once the Title is there the words flow more fluidly, just getting over that first way of wording what has already been mulling round my mind for hours.
I’ve planned to write this sharing for a while now and then set it aside for weeks, yet it has always been there ready to be written.
In previous posts I’ve shared about the cacao drinks and how they began, years ago whilst stirring the pot of molten cacao, hearing ‘voices’ asking me to make a drink that would be of great help to us as we go through this journey in our human bodies.
Way back then I made them with cacao powder and added in some herbs, spices etc to make a powdered drinking mix that was blended into hot water and some nut milk, sweetened however one wished to. These could also be mixed with fruits to make smoothies or milk shakes, equally yummy and nourishing. Yet, it became apparent that there was something missing in doing so.
Only after taking a break, or going into a reclusive phase up a mountain in Wales, did the energy of what was to become such potent medicine begin to shift into a whole new dimension. It was while we lived on that mountain that I began working with cacao in the more sacred way that I do today. I introduced cacao paste to the party, along with cacao powder and the host of plants that are now in the Mayan Elixir. This created a far more intense brew with the deeper results that I was initially looking for. A richer, fattier, darker drink that really shifted our consciousness from inside the body’s somewhat restrictive physical form to one where we could access higher states of being, super energy, clarity and focus! What’s not to like about that???
This brew became a real ‘natural high’ in all the terms you could imagine.
From that moment on I began going that extra mile with my crafting of Sacraments, bringing in the element of Ceremony in their birthing, from the prayers that were breathed into the blend as they were being grated and mixed, that loving intent to bring abundant health and joy to all who drank from the cup of cacao, to how I placed part of each blend on my kitchen altar as an offering of Gratitude to my Guides for their assistance and support during this process, my devotional service.
I have changed more over the last 18 months too, since I began walking the path to reconnecting with the real medicine of this world we move within, and with it so has the way I make the blends, as if they couldn’t get any more amazing! Well, I feel there is always more to learn and more to offer…
I chose to always honour what my Guides bring to share, even if at the time it seems to be way out there in terms of what is happening in the mainstream (yeah, who cares what the mainstream are doing, right!?)
So, today my blends are birthed with great devotion to IxCacao and all Her allies. I no longer use cacao powder in any of the cacao offerings that I’m part of creating, instead it is either cacao paste blended with cacao butter or whole cacao beans (nibs, because we are not able to use whole beans with their skins intact just in case of there being any traces of micotoxins). This gives us the most potent, rich, creamy blend of them all, with a high fat content for the best uptake of all the nutritional benefits in the blend. Working with these elements and the other plant medicine that is contained within each of the two blends and using a stonegrinder to create the SMOOTHEST cacao drink imaginable means that you get an awesome medicinal cacao Sacrament.
This whole process takes TIME ???? As each moment making them is part of the Ceremony for me, from the initial thought of crafting to the end result of packaging them up. As I begin the process, I set the altar with the incense, bring out the tuning forks, crystals to empower the brew, take the prayer smoke outside to smudge myself clear of any energies that are not aligned with my intentions, then paolo santo smoke to bring in those prayers and energies that I wish to birth into the blend. The machine is also smudged clear as well as the cacao mix as it goes into the grinder and is set in motion. Next I select the tuning fork that brings the vibrational energy to the blend, this is incredibly powerful! I’ve noticed how they taste different when I’ve included the forks as opposed to before I began working with them. I might use upto 4 forks on each blend throughout their birthing! I let them grind for around 8 hours so that all the herbs and barks etc are finely processed, leaving no chunky bits at all, just smooth chocolate heaven! Once this is done, the mix is poured into containers and let to cool and cure for 24 hours before being grated up and packaged. Just to ensure that all is as I wish for each blend, I set aside enough of each for personal use, sitting in my own Sacred Enjoyment, giving my love and gratitude for being able to offer these Sacraments to others who wish to walk their way home again.
Cacao is a GREAT Master Sacrament to work with, She has much wisdom to share with us, I could literally speak about Her gifts of knowing for DAYS, such is the depth of healing She offers us.
It is my hope that when you choose to work with one of my offerings, that you have the most amazing and insightful experience, even if it is ‘just’ the best hot chocolate you have ever had!
Take a look in the Store to order, should you wish.
