Cacao Medicine Circles
Since the very early days of my workings with chocolate I’ve found a deep sense personal expression and expansion which has led me on such an amazing journey and becoming a totally different person now to who I used to be.
I can look back on my life and honestly say that I’m in a far better place now than I ever thought I would be.
Several years have gone by since the very first Invitation from my guides to create a drink that not only honours the Mayan culture of cacao along with being a potent medicine that helps us open up and awaken to our truth in this life. Since I started offering cacao ceremonies my practice of doing so has evolved into what has become such a beautiful experience for all who sit in Circle and welcome in the depth of love and nourishment IxCacao offers us.
The early circles were very ‘basic’ and I trembled during each of them, worried that I wasn’t ‘delivering’ a great experience! Now, I know that by offering these circles everyone who comes takes away what is perfect for them in that moment and I no longer worry, for there is no need to give a performance when I’m in the place of offering from my soul, connected directly to Great Spirit as we all are.
As I not only intuitively craft the Sacrament from scratch for each ceremony (as well as providing access to the 2 blends found in the Store on this website), – every ceremony begins from that moment of intentionally bringing together the cacao and the herbs, roots, barks and spices. The week leading up to the ceremony I begin dropping into that energy, altering my days so that I’m more able to be walking more gently, lessening outer distractions, sleeping more and so on.
The night before the ceremony I go to bed after drinking my regular brew of Mugwort tea (I might also add in some Salvia Divinorum or Damiana) and begin my call to the Ancestors, guides, elementals, to come join me that night in my dream work ready for the day ahead.
On the morning of the ceremony I set in motion the Call more deeply, sitting with a dose of the Sacrament that will be used in the ceremony itself and begin the calling in of the 4 directions, all the elements and any other aspects that I feel will be beneficial for that ceremony and the group who are attending, so that everyone is there for the entire day until we return home to our beds to dream our new direction into being.
I’ve done this a few times now and have really had such a profound and transformational experience from following this way of offering ceremony. During the ceremony itself I’ve been overwhelmed with LOVE and such a Divine energy that has to be felt to know what I mean!
I love how our practice evolves over time as we walk in our soul centre and be of service.
When you decide to enter into the Cacao Circle know that from that moment you have accepted to walk a new path on your own life journey and the medicine will reach out to you to be received. Life afterwards will feel very different indeed.
